At Family Piano Co. we offer a variety of music classes and lessons including private lessons for piano, voice, and some orchestral / band instruments (excluding percussion).

We also offer group classes for all ages. We would love to have you join us!

Private Lessons
    Prices
  • 15 minutes - $10 (only for children 5 and under, or for special needs students)
  • 30 minutes - $20 (traditional length)
  • 1 hour - $35

Private study includes monthly group class.

Family Discounts are available (only to immediate family members):
1 student - $20
2 students - $35
3 students - $50
4 students - $63

Lesson prices and group class rates are as of January 1, 2009, and are subject to change without notice. Lesson and group class tuition fees do not include the cost of lesson materials.

Beginning Music Lessons

Adult Piano I + II (ages 15 and up). This is a casual, supportive environment designed for adult and teen learners. The class meets for 1 hour each week. Two 10 week semesters are available. Pre-registration is required.

Free with the purchase of a piano for up to three people - or -
$139 per 10-week semester (per person)

Little People Class (preschool to kindergarten age).
A joyful introduction to music for little ones. Creative learning activities tailored especially to this age group develop eye, ear, and finger coordination, a basic foundation for “musical thinking”, and most importantly, eagerness for the excitement and fun of musical exploration.

Commonly Asked Questions
  1. Can I practice on an electronic keyboard?
    We strongly encourage practicing on a traditional acoustic piano. Keyboards are acceptable for non-piano students, or for piano students in a temporary or other special situation.
  2. How do payments work?
    Private lessons - tuition is billed monthly and is due by the first lesson of each calendar month. Group lessons - tuition is due in full at the beginning of each “program semester” as defined in the tuition schedule for each program.
  3. Will there be opportunities to perform?
    Yes! We have recitals as well as open mic nights, open jams, as well as concerts.
  4. What are the benefits of studying piano?
    Piano lessons are very beneficials for both children and adults. For children it benefits educational skills used in reading, science, and math. It also helps develop fine motor skills, hand/eye coordination as well as brain and memory development.
    Adults who study music enjoy better emotional and physical health. They also have the benefit of personal satisfaction, increased confidence, coordination, enhanced memory and concentration.
